Ministerial Formation

More important than the academic side of your training is your formational growth. We hope that you will commit yourself to:

  • collaborating in the tasks of shared study
  • sharing in worship with your study group
  • supporting your fellow students in prayer
  • personal spiritual disciplines of prayer and Bible study, and accountability to a spiritual accompanier
  • fully attending study events as well as relevant CGH formational events (evenings, weekend residentials)
  • developing and sustaining a relationship of accountability with your parish/supervising incumbent and your Pastoral Tutor
  • developing and sustaining a discipline of theological reflection
The CGH community includes people with a rich diversity of previous experience of church, work, and discipleship, who form a strong network of mutual support and encouragement, served by academic and pastoral tutors
